A Few Clicks To Remember

Hello my fabulous readers. When I was enthusiastic, I had a habit of clicking pictures of everything. Whether it was a party, outings or just a casual meet, I never forget to click pics. Some people disliked this, because I had a habit of clicking their pictures without their permission. Obviously, It was bad because sometimes, the picture portrayed some different situation, some different story. But I never shared such pics with anyone, but yes I have shared the rest of the pics. I even blackmailed my friends with those pics. In a joking way, of course.

Not only that, I was very fond of the newly launched mobile with a high tech camera. Long back, I had even bought one. I still have that mobile in working condition. But because of rising technology and the internet, I had to buy a new phone because of this 4G-5G support. Yes, but this time, I didn’t buy it with my money. and also, by that time, I started losing my interest in technology.

Over time, I started losing interest in capturing moments too. Now-a-days, I am too lazy to click pics. Also, I find it boring to pose for someone, to be in a pic. Whether it is clouds, or shades of lights on water, even some print on bedsheets, I had clicked all. Whether food, my new haircut, or some xyz statue, I didn’t leave any stone to capture it. By the way, I have clicked  pics of stone too. People said, enjoy the moment, don’t waste it by clicking pics. True, But memories do come back when we see photos. As such, I don’t remember some places that I had visited a long time back. But when I see the pics, I recollect all the places. Thanks to google, for giving us notification of photos memories. We take photos as a return ticket to a moment otherwise it’s gone.

When I see my old pics of some vacation, I sometimes laugh. Because the way I dress  was funny. But sometimes, I also see the accessories I had worn that time. The nails, nail paint, the hairband, not so messy hair, the shoes, the watch, etc. and sometimes shocking because I really don’t know where these accessories are? Because some dresses I still wear. And Because, I had visited this place too.

I am not at all a professional photographer. I don’t have a DSLR. I had one digital camera. and I carried it once in the Mumbai rains. RIP. My digital camera, you will be missed, always. I had always clicked snaps from my mobile. When Nokia was ruling, I had this awesome phone. Don’t remember the model number, but it was a flap mobile. The camera quality and also the zoom quality was awesome. But I don’t know how I lost it. But now with this latest mobile, I don’t know what’s wrong with this. The camera quality is good at start, but when you update the software, it loses all its quality, even some features. So it happened with my latest mobile too. Now, the camera quality is not so good.

So what’s great in clicking pics? When a professional photographer clicks your photos, he or she makes sure that you feel good, look good and special in that photograph. All your emotions come out, when you see your own inner image. But when a roadside photographer, like me, clicks your photos, You will either be laughing or you will find the devil inside you. But on a serious note, after a few years, you will feel great that you have not clicked, but you have captured the memories. You have arrested the memories.

Luck Or Your Efforts

A warm welcome to all my readers. Today my topic is about luck, about destiny. Do you believe in luck? Well I do not. There is no such good luck or bad luck. Because according to me, when something you gave a miss, that means you were not supposed to be there. Well, it’s all written on our destiny. I believe if you had given your part, your effort then you might not get exact success, but you will be happy with the result and guarantee, you will not get failure.

In my college days, my friends tagged me as “The Lucky Girl”. Because I used to score without studying. Not topper, but yes, with decent marks. My first year of college was very bad. I literally had no idea how to use the reference books. I had a habit of mugging up each and every sentence written in a book. I was not a  bright student. But then one professor said in one class that you will never succeed if you mugg up. You have to understand the concept. By this you can write the correct answer without studying. If you can understand the concept, in your own language that also will do, and if you make yourself understand by filmy-way that also will do.

Yes, I applied that technique. I started understanding the concept, sometimes in Hindi, sometimes by creating a filmy scene. It was damn easy for me to understand the concept. And hence easy for me to write in the exams. But sometimes, we did cheat too. From friends-of-friends, I got this question paper. It was 50 marks and was an internal exam. So obviously, I didn’t study anything else other than what was there with me. But the professor came to know about this and she changed the question paper. It was a big question mark for me to write the answers.  To my surprise, I scored decent marks. As I said earlier, my friends used to call me lucky. They started taunting me every now and then. I explained to them that this is not at all luck. Yes, I never studied but I knew the concept. and the main thing is that I know HOW TO WRITE. Yes, I was not expecting good marks, but I was sure that I would not at all fail in that exam.

So, this is it. There is no such luck. It’s all the effort you put in. I give my effort at the start so that I don’t have to cry at the last moment. Yes, I got a tight slap by learning in a short cut way only and tried to secure first position. But it was my effort that after every class, I revised what the professor taught, by myself-making concepts.

Destiny is not in our hands. But you have to accept what has happened and try to move on. People do try to change their destiny. But if the cause is good, then obviously you will succeed. If not then you will fail horribly, making your life more miserable. So go with the flow without taking any tensions. Life will be easy. Think only about the present, make your present beautiful.

What do you prefer? Luck or Effort?

Friday Or Friyay

Hello my readers!! Today is “D-Friday”. Yes happy FRIYAY. We all wait for this day from Sunday evening. Obviously, we all start making plans for the upcoming Friday. Some get success in executing their plan and some do not. So how’s your Friday? Well, here is mine.

Long back, In olden days, I used to work. I had a proper office, a proper boss and a proper colleagues. Not joking. Yes, Once upon a time, I used to earn. I was a website developer. To be more precise, backend website programmer. Back then, there were separate roles for developing a website. Backend website programmer means, I use to code; how and where the data will store, how and from where the data will be visible on the website, the validation like proper email address, proper mobile number, the coding for like, dislike, comment, post, delete, the report generation for clients, how client will see the data, the analytics, the sentiments, etc. Now programmers do all the work, right from the look and feel of the website and the backend part also. So, for such work, weekends were a little nightmare.

Like you all, even I waited for Friday just for relaxation. But since all my companies were media companies, all major work was executed on weekends. Though I hardly worked on weekends because we were trained to write automated code for everything. But for that, we had given up our Friday nights. To make my work run smoothly on weekends, my Friday night was hectic. If no extra work from clients, then the weekend was in relaxation mode, else not.

In one of my companies, Saturday was a usual working day. So, we work in our usual mode. But this client came across a unique idea on Saturday evening, not only made our Saturday night hectic, but also made us work on Sunday as well. After all if and else, the client apologized for his unique demand. But what is the use? The damage was already done. Because it was Sunday evening. Though the company usually gives one day off, if we work on Sundays, but that holiday was after the completion of the project. So, when the project gets complete, we have either completely forgotten about that compensatory off or we have already started with the new projects.

But this was not every weekend story. Sometimes, we said “Yippee” on-time, from work on Friday. But in such situations, I was always blank and hence I ended up watching already seen movies on TV (That time there were no smart TVS, no amazon prime, no Netflix) and ordering food from restaurants.

So how’s my weekend now? Since I am at home, I prefer to sleep on weekends. I make plans for Fridays like watching movies, going to the mall, etc. But end up lying like a dead lizard. Going to the mall or any other public places on weekends makes me tired. Because there is a huge crowd and lots of noise. I find no peace in such places on weekends. So I avoid going out on weekends. If planned, then I prefer travelling in morning hours and will get return by afternoon or evening.

So kinda boring right? Yes. It is how it is. When surrounded by friends, I prefer to be at home  and when surrounded by my own people, yet I prefer to be at home only. I’m not against going to the mall and all, I prefer going on weekdays, when there is less crowd.
