The Suspicion

“If you do not do this, then you will go to hell. You have to do these rituals” – We all must have come across such first-class statements. Even if we are not superstitious, yet we will become one. Such lines and explanations make us believe in the dark world. But is the dark world true? I believe so. Only reason, I have seen one. I have seen the effects of black magic. I have seen this family crying for help day and night from their own elder son. I have seen how the younger son affected his mental health and failed 10th grade because of this. Days were hell for them. Apart from doctors, some people started asking swamiji (the one who knows everything, scholar) about his behavior. It turned out to be a black magic trick on the older one. Family did all the rituals  and finally the bad days were gone. Years passed, and now the family is living a healthy and wealthy life.

But that was the day, and till a few years ago, if something bad happened in my life and if the things went on for a long time then the first thing that came in my mind was black magic. A few Years ago? Yes, a few years ago. I saw one cartoon and I got the best solution for such things. Well, I will tell you  about this in the last part. Till then keep reading.

But is it ok, to keep fear in our mind? We women fear men, whenever we are alone. Men usually fear about their job and salaries. Kids fear ghosts. But is it ok ? As a parent, we always make our kids scared of things. It can be anything like scare of insects, scare of animals or even scare of one family member. Until a few months ago, My daughter was not scared of anything. But now she is scared of each and every thing. Her friends say, “ghost will come”. So she is scared of ghosts. I say, “Insect will come”, So she is scared of insects now. etc.

I feel we should not teach them “fear”. Because now, I am suffering. Anyways, fear will come in their life in the form of exams n admission and job etc. So don’t take the pressure of brain-fearing them.

I know fear makes us active. But without fear also, we can be active. Many people have experienced ghosts in their life. So what to do in such a case? To be honest, I have read many stories about people who have experienced ghosts but I find their stories to be a little incomplete. The last line is always, “left the room”, “ran from the place” , etc etc. But what happened exactly, You left the room and you went where ? You ran where ? Nothing. The endings are incomplete. Hence I am not sure about the ghost encountered. Here, I’m not talking about Annabelle or Conjuring. That is a different story. Experiencing a dear one’s soul is also different. I have heard about this too. People do experience the souls of their dear ones. But people have given valid reasons behind this.

Fear can take an emotional toll. It can cause mental illness. and hence we should overcome our fear. Fear always brings negative energy and this can affect not only our health but also wealth. Fear is natural, but it should not extend.

Well, I had one incomplete story at the start. The solution, right? I got one solution to the black magic or fear. Well, I was watching this Cartoon Shin Chan, The episode was about a doll who was possessed and entered into the Nauhara family. But Shin Chan and his sister, not only makes the doll dirty, but also his sister does potty on it. and mother finally throws it in the dust bin. The possessed doll couldn’t do anything. and now she is so dirty that nobody wants her. So this is the solution, if ever u feel that u are in a negative source then behave in weird ways. Make the negative force to be away from you in such a way that it should not bother you. Be positive in life, Be fearless, always do “Nae Nae Boo Boo” with negative things. If someone says that it’s black magic, don’t panic. Keep smiling and think in which way you can keep the negative force away from you. Stay Cool, Stay Calm. You’re the only one, who can give response to positive or negative energy.

My Anecdote – International Trip

Me and my hubby like to travel a lot. But this journey came to rest, after the baby. I was very fussy and scared to travel with my baby. What if my baby got sick? What if she doesn’t get proper food? All such questions made me not want to travel. My hubby was always on the positive side. His only response was, “I earn well right now, Let’s travel, Let’s check. If something goes wrong then we will travel back. Such a trip will not come again in our life”. And that trip was none other than Maldives.

Maldives, a place, if visited once, you will visit again and again. Yes, I will visit again. Clean beaches, water sports, fishes near the shore, baby sharks. Yes, I saw a baby shark near the shore. My daughter was  excited when we told her that we were going to such a place where there are only beaches and fish around.  She was damn happy. But while taking flight from Mumbai, she became restless and didn’t want to stand in immigration line. She shouted, screamed, she was out of control. I gave her mobile, her fav books, even lollipops. But she was very bored standing in the queue. Thanks to Mumbaikars, who told us to go ahead. My daughter was calm after that. I set her free in the airport. She ran, she slept on the floor, everything she did, she wanted to do. But she thought she had reached Maldives and then shouted that she wanted to go to the beach. We made her trip more interesting, told her about the plane, the air hostess etc. Luckily she slept in flight. and upon reaching Maldives, she again yelp and didn’t want to stand in queue for a visa. Luckily My husband was quick in this and soon we got visas and were out of the airport.

She was happy travelling on a speed boat. We reached this small island called “Maafushi”. A recommend place. Though this island is very small, you will get all the sports activity at reasonable rates. My daughter was on cloud nine looking at all those fishes around her legs. She was not ready to do hotel check-in. I told my husband to do all the procedures and me and my daughter sat on the beach. Though the end to end journey was long, I was very hungry and  I had a headache too. I badly wanted tea. But my daughter was in some other world. She didn’t come out of the beach until it was dark. Finally, my daughter did a hotel check-in. Now she was tired and hungry. Since I was with my kid, I was typical Indian mom with lots of food in my bags. I have kept all these healthy / unhealthy snacks for her. Finally, we were in a restaurant to have our dinner. Since I am Indian, I love Indian food a lot. i.e. masalas and spicy. On the other hand, My daughter wants blend food. On the food side, we didn’t enjoy that much. Even in the non-veg part, I didn’t enjoy it. But that’s the culture, that’s the food and we can’t do anything about it.

After 2 days of our Maafushi trip, we went to this island, called, “Paradise Island ”. This is a private island with its own restaurants, its own beach and its own watersports. But this island was more expensive than Maafushi. Even food was expensive. But here, we got to see Baby shark, Sting gray, and almost all the fishes, near the shore. We even took a 1 night stay in a water villa. My daughter had blast feeding sting gray. She enjoyed it a lot. More than me, more than my husband.

I thought My baby would be hungry in Maldives. Yes, she was but she was enjoying her trip more than hunger. She didn’t fuzz about food. She was happy playing on clean beaches. After reaching Mumbai, we landed at my mom’s house and my mom had prepared chicken curry. Looking at that, my daughter shouted, “No No. No. No chicken. Only dal rice. Only Dal Rice’. Even my child had enough non-veg food – haha!

One thing I learned from this trip, though we mothers are scared of travelling with kids, but we should take a chance at least. If not far, then at least nearby. In this way, you will be clear whether to make a long trip or not. and also we mothers need a break. Though for mothers, it’s just a change of place and nothing else, yet there is some relaxation and fun around. At least, you don’t have to make food every now and then..

Travelling with kid is fun.  You will come to know what your kids like. Whether plane or car or train. You will come to know whether your kid like to adjust in other environment and also food. Not only that, your bags will be get reduced in every trip. Even in case of food,  you will keep only required once. “Travel” the word itself says to “proceed” from one stage to another. “Travel” the word itself says to “move on”. “Travel” the word itself says to “progress”.

So keep traveling. keep exploring the place along with kids.

P.S. The Original Content was published by me on Momspresso site. Do have a look here . This is not paid promotion nor paid content. This is purely my story and I had travelled to Maldives in December 2019, before the pandemic. My daughter was 4 yrs old then.

The Factual Winner

Where NOT is the competition? You are welcome in this world, because you have competed with many other sperms. Ha Ha!! and hence the celebration, the victory, for you to enter this world. Life is a race, you compete, you succeed. In each and every step, you will find competition and competitors. Office, college, school and even taking admission in nursery, you will find competitors. “My child knows A for apple, your child knows only ABC, my child wins !! ” – Haa Haa !

But in this competition, who wins ? One who is the winner or the one who actually struggles from failure. Well in this case, both are winners. But what we see is the result. We don’t see their struggle, we just see the result. Even if the result is not from a good source of background, then also we see the result. Resulting in other competitors to struggle more.

. Well in the case of kids, just imagine what parents go through. We all say that it’s ok, if the child is not good in studies, It’s ok if this, It’s ok if that. But we all know that if the child is not good at studies, then parents have to buckle up and make them study day and night. In this both parent and child suffer a lot and the child suffers in hell. Because If the child is not good in studies, then whatever you do, The child will not cope up. But we want winners. Because we see winners. Harsh but true reality.

There was one time, when we never used to get more than 93% marks. because it was not allowed. Only in mathematics, full marks were allowed but in the rest of the subject, there was a cutoff. Like 98 out of 100 or 95 out of 100 and you fail only if you score below 35 out of 100. That means both pass and fail had numbers. But now, not scoring more than 97 is like failure. You will not get admission in the college of your choice. But what confuses me is that entering a good college requires only a percentage. They will not see, from which medium you are from, they will not see which board you had taken in 10th grade, they will not see whether you have taken some kind of scholarship, They will not see which subjects you excel, nothing. They  just see the percentage. Still, we want our kid to know A B C D of each and every subject. Not only that, they should know about Hollywood movies too. This is what we see. The result!

After all this struggle, some kids are forced to specialize just because many of their relatives have done it. We, parents will not see in which company our child is working, whether the company is good or not, whether my child is happy working there or not, No nothing. All we see is the result. Result of some relative who is lucrative. Just because he or she has done specialization and got a job through that course. The result!

Have you heard about peer pressure? This is something when your friends have it, but you don’t. We always see what your friend has. We never see what your friend doesn’t have. This results in the pressure of wanting your friend’s life. There are many crimes between kids when they come across such pressure. Please, we only have to stop it. Some parents give each and every thing to their kid, that’s good, not at all bad but we have to make sure that our child doesn’t get jealous of it. Our child doesn’t care for it. For that we have to teach our kids to be patient and make them understand about the advantages and also disadvantages of that thing.

Regarding studies, as I said, we only want results. and hence we have to prepare our child from its birth. As there is no choice, your child should know the different monkeys i.e. gorilla, chimpanzee, orangutan, etc. your child should know the difference between crocodile and an alligator. I know its stupid, But this is we, who wants result and don’t want to see the struggle. A for NOT “All” because “All” doesn’t start with an Ae sound.

Laughing with this. But I have no choice. Study  Study Study. Get 98% marks. Go to damn good college. Go for specialization, Go aboard, Earn in dollars, and live your life at your retirement age.

By the way, who is the real winner? Time.. Time won. because we will see results. and no one is gonna ask you once you retire. Ha Ha !
